KRC.0206.1914.02C Internist position available due to the retirement of a physician. This district hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with acute care, swing bed, skilled and intermediate services for inpatients with no obstetrics or surgery. Additional services include a laboratory, x-ray, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and 24 hour emergency room. There is mobile CT Scan, ultrasound, mammography, and bone density screening. They also support specialty clinics in Orthopedics and Podiatry. The hospital is part of two Critical Access Hospital Networks. Additionally, this district hospital was one of two hospitals in the state to receive a grant through the Kansas Health Works project which provides for the county and surrounding service area to perform a Community Health Care Needs Assessment. This project will allow them to learn more about what the general public is looking for in the healthcare arena, and thus provide education on what is currently available.
Excellent call schedule of 1 evening per week and 1 of 5 weekends. The salary range is $150,000 - $160,000 (negotiable) with up to a two year contract. Benefits include a sign-on bonus, assistance with student loans, 4 weeks vacation per year, CME allowance with up to 5 paid days off, health insurance, malpractice insurance, life insurance, long and short term disability insurance as needed, and relocation.
